Blog move

carla nyanyo photography

Hello everyone, just a quick post today. I've been busy the past few weeks moving the blog, integrating it with my website. It's now live on the website and I'm in the process of redirecting posts so please bear with me while this happens.

In the mean time, please head over to cnyanyophotography.com to visit the new blog, I'll have some new post coming soon.

Behind Sherbourne Fields School continued

I went out twice last week because the first time my camera battery ran out right when I was in the zone (oops). I continued where I left off from the last post so we're still behind Sherbourne Fields School, which is turning out to be a longer stretch of river than it might first seem.

I've started being more... fussy, I guess, about the weather conditions I'm shooting in. I definitely prefer the cloud cover for soft, even lighting so I'm not going to waste anymore time shooting in bright sun. Checking the weather forecast helps quite a lot... I probably should’ve figured that out much sooner!

Behind Sherbourne Fields School

I back tracked a little bit from where I left off my last shoot. The cloud cover was much better this time so I re- shot some places where I had been shooting into the sun before.
I think we've left Coundon Wedge now? The river flows under a little bridge, behind Sherbourne Fields Primary school and heads towards Holyhead road. I was joined by some friendly horses for a little while! Take a look at My Sunday Photo from last week (I couldn't resist).

I'm kinda loving all the shades of brown that are around at the moment. The neutral shades with the bare twigs and branches; I think the images feel a little desolate and I quite like that.
